Gstars Academy – Dance Squad Policy Dance Squad Commitment Congratulations on joining the Gstars Academy Dance Squad. Our Dance Squad is designed for dancers who are committed to developing their performance skills and representing the club at shows, competitions, displays, and community events. As routines are choreographed for the full team, regular attendance and commitment are essential to ensure every dancer can perform confidently and safely. Training Commitment Dancers are expected to attend all scheduled training sessions. Consistent attendance is vital for learning choreography, developing technique, and maintaining team synchronisation. If your child is unable to attend a session, please notify the club as soon as possible. Shows and Competitions Dance Squad members are expected to participate in shows, competitions, displays, and club events where selected. Performance opportunities are an important part of the squad programme and require commitment from both dancers and parents. Dates will be shared as early as possible to allow families to plan ahead. Teamwork and Consistency Dance routines rely on every member learning and rehearsing together. Repeated absences may affect choreography, formations, and performance opportunities. Coaches reserve the right to make adjustments to routines if attendance becomes inconsistent. Monthly Payment Plan or Termly payments Termly payments are available for those that want to trial the first term of classes in the mini dance team 5/8yrs. If there are any show/competition commitments we will ask that you transfer to monthly going forward. Senior Dance Squad places are automatically secured through a continuous monthly payment plan. Monthly payments reserve your child's place within the squad and support ongoing coaching, routine development, and performance preparation. Cancellation A minimum of 6 weeks' written notice is required if you wish to stop attending your Dance class. This notice period helps minimise disruption to routines and allows coaches sufficient time to reorganise choreography and formations. Club Expectations We ask all dancers and families to: Arrive on time and ready to train. Wear appropriate dance clothing (All Black) Treat coaches, fellow dancers, and volunteers with respect. Support a positive, inclusive, and encouraging team environment.
